I happened to be there at Baltusrol on Thursday and witness the now infamous “plugged ball incident” in which Tiger's drive on 18 became inexplicably plugged. Tiger suspected the ball was stepped on by a camera crew, the Star-Ledger claims that Tiger's caddie Steve Williams may have stepped on the ball. The air was so hazy at the time that it was difficult for any of us at the tee box to even see what had happened to the ball, and even the spectators near where the ball came to rest were unable point to the location of the ball…
