Ponderlodge Golf Course sold to NJ DEP, fate of woman living on property to be determined

The bankrupt Ponderlodge Golf Course has been sold. From the Press of Atlantic City:

Arthur Abramowitz, the attorney in charge of the bankruptcy case, on Friday announced the court has approved the sale of the 235-acre golf course property to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection for $8,450,000. A funding package from the state Green Acres Program, Cape May County and the township is expected to be used to turn the property into public parkland.

The twist is that a woman named Helen Fergoli is apparently living on the property, in a house she believes she owns but the attorneys disagree. Read the story to learn how her oil tanks were removed from the ground, leaving her in a house where it was 48 degrees in the bathroom.
