There are many tax paying golf courses who are struggling to stay in business while being met with unfair price competition from municipal courses that are inefficiently operated at both the taxpayers expense and most unfairly at the expense of the courses that are paying the taxes that are subsidizing them. Why should taxing entities be competing with tax paying entities. That is taxation without representation which is Unamerican. If taxpaying courses were not meeting the need for public access golf courses, then perhaps there would be a need for municipal course. However, that is not the case and therefore municipal courses in most cases shold be privatized.
