Weekenders Golf Club looking for New Members

Just received a note from the Weekenders Golf Club, passing it on…

We are a non-profit competitive golf league based in Northern NJ. If you love competitive golf, check us out at www.weekendersgolfclub.com to find out more about us and contact us if you like what you see.

The Weekenders Golf Club was established in the early 1970's as a competitive handicapped golf league. The league is currently composed of 32 golfers with handicaps ranging from 5 to 30 and schedules approximately 17 rounds a year(12 regular season, 2 playoff, a two round Club Championship, and a one round Players Championship should you qualify). The league currently has sixteen two-man teams(and has gone as high as 20 teams) and each week the league plays individual and team match play and everyone plays for low net against the field. The league looks for the type of golfer who is looking to play as close to a full schedule as possible. That's what makes us different from most golf leagues where some of the hundreds of members pick and choose which of the events they will play in from as many as 50 or 60 scheduled events, you might never play against the same opponent or team twice. Because many of our members have been in the league for ten years or more friendships and rivalries are established. The league plays approximately every other Sunday from April to early October and does not play on holiday weekends. Sometimes the league will play back to back Sundays.

If you would like to find out more about the league rules, see our rules page and if you would like to contact us about joining for the 2007 season or to play as a guest this year to check us out, please use the form on the Contact Us page.
