WHO: The New Jersey Center for Outreach and Services for the Autism Community (COSAC), the state's sole nonprofit organization providing information, advocacy, family and professional education and consultation to the autism community.

WHAT: The 10th Annual Autism Charity Golf Outing, an annual golf outing that benefits COSAC.

WHEN: Monday, September 8, 2008. 1:30 pm Shotgun Start.

WHERE: Forsgate Country Club, Monroe Township, NJ.

WHY: To support New Jersey's autism community, comprised of 87,000 residents affected by autism spectrum disorders, and raise autism awareness.

The Annual Golf Outing is a fun, social event that increases the community's awareness and understanding of autism, a complex, lifelong developmental disability that affects 1 in 150 children nationally, and 1 in 94 in New Jersey.

During the past nine years, this event has raised one million dollars. Every year, these funds enable COSAC to assist thousands of families in the autism community.

The event will include a day of golfing, including a Hole-in-one car giveaway and “Hit the Green” Contests. There also is a luncheon, cocktail hour, silent auction and awards dinner. This year's event will be honoring Steve Pellegrinelli, Chair of the Golf Event and Past President of the COSAC Board of Trustees.
