Old Orchard Country Club Returns to Glory

Asbury Park Press – Restoring a golf club’s glory: A year ago, the owners of Old Orchard Country Club in Eatontown wanted to turn the 158 acres of greens, water hazards and bunkers into a massive housing and retail complex. Outrage and opposition to the proposal killed the plan. Now it’s golf, golf and more golf at the Old Orchard. Under the management of Bob Krelik, owner of Mr. B’s Discount Pro Shop, and with the commitment of the club’s owners, the semi-public golf course is poised for a comeback. It’s accepting members again with Krelik as manager and heading a new team, including a golf pro, director of golf and course superintendent. There’s a newly renovated pro shop and starter’s office, and golfer’s bar. There are also plans to renovate the clubhouse, pavilion and kitchen.
See our course guide page for Old Orchard. Can’t seem to find a website for the course, don’t think they have one…
