Woodcrest Country Club, long an enclave for prominent Jewish families, is in the hands of its lenders:

The club, which boasts an 18-hole golf courseand opulent clubhouse, is being operated by Vineland-based Sun Bancorp.

Club manager Scott Hoegel confirmed the club is under bank control but declined to comment on the transition.

Members and others close to the organization said day-to-day operations continue to run smoothly.
