Richard Stockton College to buy Seaview

Stockton will buy four-star resort: Stockton and the seller, LaSalle Hotels LLC, announced an agreement of sale last week, but did not disclose the sale price. The 670-acre property is appraised at $29 million though both parties are hoping for a reduction. LaSalle pays Galloway Township approximately $400,000 a year in property taxes. The purchase makes Stockton — a college of 8,000 students and 1,200 faculty and staff in Atlantic County — one of Galloway’s largest landholders with more than 2,000 acres in its portfolio.
