USGA Gives Favorable Ratings for All Levels of Play at Black Oak Golf Club

5th Hole at Black OakLong Valley, NJ – The recently opened Black Oak Golf Club in Long Valley New Jersey has received course and slope ratings from the USGA and the developers are anxious to let potential members know what they can expect from this exciting new golf course.

A Challenging Course in a Pristine Setting

David Glenz, Course Designer and Director of Golf at Black Oak spent six years on the PGA Tour and played most of the best courses in the country.” My lifetime goal has always been to design and build a golf course like this, where golf and nature truly commune. For the low handicapper, the course will stretch to over 7,100 yards, with broad fairways winding through trees and along the ridgeline. Multiple tees will allow a comfortable yardage for players of all ability levels. Lakes and streams throughout the property are utilized to create both shot value and beauty. The varied green settings will test your putting ability. Round to round, this course will play differently; determined by conditions, course set-up and ability level. Players are offered a variety of shot options challenging their imagination and competitive goals.

The course ratings are as follows:

David Glenz sums it up by saying “I have extensive experience in what goes into making a great golf hole. My guarantee is this. we will have 18 different holes that require shot value while being scenic and fun to play”.
