When I was up here a few months ago to finalize some things, there was a guy playing who recognized me and asked what I was doing here. He said, ‘David, this is an amazing place,’ and I said, ‘Yeah, it is, isn’t it?’ ” With the unofficial beginning of summer and the golf season today, there is a bit of a shake-up in New Jersey’s golf-instruction hierarchy. After David Glenz left Crystal Springs at the end of last season to move to his self-designed Black Oak Golf Club in Long Valley, it created an opening at the Hamburg-based resort complex.
