Wings of Refuge Golf Outing

Aug 11 2012 in Events and Outings by thestarter

Before the earthquake that devastated Haiti on January 12th, 2010, there were thousands of abandoned & orphaned children in Haiti. Since then, that number has increased drastically to where it is believed that over 1 million children have been left orphaned & abandoned. One million lives, one million futures, and one million destinies. One is enough for Jesus to become concerned & one is enough for those leading the way at Wings of Refuge Children’s Home.

Wings of Refuge Children’s Home in Petion-ville, Haiti, opened its doors one year ago on May 21, 2011, and now cares for 21 children. As we seek to promote the well-being of every child that walks through our doors, we have been amazed at how all of these children have grown stronger, healthier & happier! It has been a joy and privilege for us to help provide a safe, healthy, nurturing & loving environment for every one of these children who have joined our family.

A permanent 50-bed facility is currently being built, not far from the rented home where the children are currently being cared for. We look forward to expanding our family to include more of the deprived children of Haiti in hopes to change their lives & give them hope for the future.
