Seaview Golf Resort to spend $1.4 million in rebuilding effort

Seaview Golf Resort says it is plowing $1.4 million into rebuilding fairways, bunkers, and drainage at its Bay and Pines courses. The planned repairs to the Absecon, N.J., spa cost almost as much as Philadelphia gas-and-water utilities magnate Clarence H. Geist, founder of what is now South Jersey Industries Inc., paid to buy and develop the square-mile club in 1914. Though today’s dollars buy a fraction of what Geist spent.
